For a change of scene I packed my laptop and headed off to Ely to work for the day. I've visited the cathedral before, but somehow manage to miss the fact that there is a lovely restaurant and tearooms in the grounds behind it. Rectified the situation today and spent a very pleasant hour eating home made quiche and tapping at the keyboard. Meanwhile the gardeners were hard at work keeping those borders tidy.
Well that is a lovely sight...i wanted to look at this cathedral because my mum used to love it so but when I went on the main page I saw this wonderful fore ground with the wheel barrow...just a perfect mix of grandeur & everyday.
