A combined school visit and family visit took me to Hayfield in the Peak District - a long drive, but well worth it for a lovely visit. I've not watched The Village on TV, although had heard about it, and it was interesting to find out that this is where much of the filming took place. It was set during the First World War, and some of the shop frontages that were used in filming have been left in place - like this one - hence the sepia effect!
