Still Summer by helenmoss

Still Summer

Day 2 in Brighton I was allowed to go out to play because I'd sent off the draft, so I had a lovely meander around the shops, including North Laine and the Lanes. It was one of those days that starts out chilly and stealthily turns into tropical by mid-afternoon, so I ended up lugging around my own bodyweight in discarded woolens (not to mention some new purchases) and wandered back along the seafront, where the pier and deckchairs were enjoying a quiet end-of-summer moment.
The deck chairs say so much and Brighton pier (formerly the "Palace Pier" until the old west pier burnt down) confirms the location. I have just read your profile statement and would like to say forget the "grown-up" camera; it's the brain behind the finger of the button that makes the picture, and your confident use of words adds value to the image.

@wordpixman thank you for following and for your kind comments - I hadn't been to Brighton for almost 20 years and I'd forgotten what a great place it was!

We loved the lanes when we stayed there in the spring. Love the deckchairs waiting!
