Sledding the snow pile! by homeschoolmom

Sledding the snow pile!

Since both of my boys were born and raised in southern IL, they are flatlanders! This 5-ft. mound of snow in our front yard from where the town plow cleared our cul de sac Sunday morning has given them some fun times sledding....well, after they shoveled out the mailbox! You all are welcome to come to NH and take as much of it home with you as you want!
Great shot. It reminds me when we lived in NY. Thanks for your offer of snow... I'm sure you would like to swap for some Miami sunshine... ;)

If you could send just a smattering - a lovely shot.

Lisa, once after a storm on the coast which deposited lots of rocks on people lawns a man posted a similar sentiment. Sort of for free take.

Looks like fun - when the white stuff comes - you better go out & enjoy it
(the winter will go faster :)

@anazad511 @tremerryn @susale @pdulis @digitalrn @linnypinny @mittens Thanks everyone. We're getting another 5-8 inches of snow on top of this right now.
@joansmor I'd rather have the rocks! LOL! In fact, we have 3 rock retaining walls in our yard!

For your "Get Pushed" challenge I would like you to take a still life photo.

@mej2011 Great. Because everything else is pretty much buried in snow right now! LOL! A nice still life .....inside where it's warm! Sounds great to me!

That's ok- although we don't have a 5 foot mound, we have plenty of snow here in PA! Boy does this bring back memories though. We used to build sled runs for our boys at this age too- and now they are doing the same for their sons!

@olivetreeann I hope your roads clear off by Sunday. We're heading through PA on our way home for Christmas.

@homeschoolmom I have heard there is a possibility of another storm this weekend- but who knows this far in advance. Safe travels and blessings on your family this Christmas!

Beautiful! I love the way the house is up on the hill and the kids can sled right in front!
December 28th, 2013
@taffy LOL! That's not really a hill, its a gentle slope. The snow hill is from the snow pile clearing our cul de sac. It's still there a month later.

@homeschoolmom Wow -- really??? It looks like one of those sledding hills!
January 22nd, 2014
@taffy Unfortunately, it's true! LOL! It was more than 5 feet tall when I took this pic. It melted some, but has had more added to it since them. It's currently around 3.5 feet high, but it's snowing again. I think it will be there until May!
