Mrs. Cardinal stops by for a visit!

I was surprised to see this female cardinal fly into the tree this morning when I was taking pictures of our new layer of snow. I took a picture of her mate the other day.

Isn't she beautiful!! I wish I had cardinals in the winter. I get them in the Spring sometimes but there's something so pretty with them and the snow.

@happysnap She's not nearly as bright as her mate. I didn't realize she was a cardinal until I zoomed in on her! But, they are my favorite, so I was happy to see her.
