Drove home from my in-laws today. As I was waiting on my hubby to catch up after stopping for lunch, I pulled over at a scenic overlook just down the hill from the entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway. I've always wanted to stop here, but we've never taken the time. Usually, I just snap a pic as we drive by. And, since I was driving, this is the only pic I have from today. Fun fact, the Blue Ridge Mountains appear to be blue because of a gas given off by a certain kind of tree that grows there in abundance. Not sure of the name of the gas or the tree, but at least I now know that my eyes aren't playing a trick on my - they really look blue.
