Empress Tree

These trees line a small parking lot behind our church. They are gorgeous right now. I had to Google them. Took a lot of searching to find out that they are Empress Trees or Paulownia Tomentosa. Never heard of them or seen them before.

From China. People call the trash trees. I've never seen one up close. The blooms are really beautiful.
