pre-surgical

not expecting this to be the portrait I would take this week. Freddie had surgery today...he had a mass in his spleen. this shot is pre-surgical. his eyes show how he has been feeling the past few days. I miss him tonight as he had to stay at the hospital after his splenectomy. no news on malignancy for a week or so. I am trying to think positively and praying for the 30 percent chance that it will be benign...

Freddie has had his surgery - a splenectomy - and is now back home for recovery. he had to get a transfusion during surgery and the blood loss led to an arrhythmia so he has meds for that and a couple of others. eating special foods only mostly by his choice but that's ok. now the wait for the pathology. praying that he is in the 30 percent that isn't malignant.
