Love is on full display around here! While we dashed off to New York for sweet Charlotte’s birth, John and Nirali jumped into the monumental task of decorating this home on the hill for Christmas — and all the while they had their own home to decorate. Lights went up, furniture went down, trees got placed, and fairies got posed. Snowmen and Santas and my big, beloved nutcracker — peppermint trees and gingerbread houses and ice skates draped on the old sled, too — all stand ready to ring in this beautiful season thanks to that son of ours with the heart of gold and his lovely wife.
Now back home, Mike and I put the finishing touches on the trees; and Mike made sure every light was twinkling. (Like father, like son.) Sarah, Dan and Charlotte will arrive in a few weeks. We’ll all celebrate our precious granddaughter’s first Christmas here where, surrounded by such selfless acts of kindness, all is more merry! All is more bright!
Sounds wonderful! I am thinking of getting a tree this year. Hubby is very "bah-humbug"! But I think I need to get out all the ornaments and remember the stories that go with them this time. Beautiful tree!
