After posting seven images with only a title (no narrative), phase two of my experiment is complete. Now it's time to answer these questions:
With giving my image a title only (no narrative),
do I feel I’m honoring God with my images? Personally, yes. Publicly, it depends on the title.
do I feel my images lose some — or all — sense of personal significance? Yes, some, although not as much as when my voice was silenced completely.
do I feel the stories behind my images are left untold? Somewhat. While I feel titles help to tell more of the stories told by the images themselves, I still feel the stories are incomplete. If so, do I feel the need to tell them? Yes.
viewers’ thoughts about my images will not be subject to my influence. Do I care? Yes.
What did my experiment reveal? A bit of self-evaluation is in order to find out.
