Visitor

Unexpected pops of pretty pink-purple drew my eye to the rocky shoreline, but then! I caught the welcome sight of this large dragonfly, and the Lady's Thumb had to wait for my attention. I knew this beautiful visitor would soon be on its way; and with so many beautiful details to admire, I got busy.

Like lead separating sparkling panes of glass, artistically arranged black veins held together a transparent membrane forming wings that shimmered with every move; and its head turned left and right as if to show off those impossible turquoise eyes. We marveled at its 3" length; but after glancing away for just a second, I looked back and it was gone.

My attention returned to the Lady's-thumb but with a renewed appreciation for the gifts He gives. Every moment, He gives gifts.
They remind me of a heliocopter sitting there.
