It's a made up word, I think. We use it to refer to any work he does with wood — stacking, splitting, tending a campfire. If it involves wood and he's doing it, he's wooding. It's our own little joke, and we laugh when we say it. I love to see him wooding, because I know he enjoys it. Here, he's making some kindling using the shiny new hatchet John got him. Seems that son of ours thinks some of our things are old and in need of replacing. Good-natured John teases us; and we laugh about that, too.
I'm all for team family. Where laughter is the key to youth, strong family ties, and longevity of life.
