Mid-Thirties by janetb

Mid-Thirties

With the rain behind us and snow on the way, today's dry mid-thirties seemed the perfect opportunity to open the kitchen door and let in some fresh air. While Gracie roamed around the deck exploring every nook and cranny, I made some pictures. We'll take the Christmas decorations down this weekend, so the card holder will soon be gone; and I'll miss it. I love watching the pockets fill to overflowing with the smiling faces and glittered greetings of loved ones. Our tradition of opening each card after dinner and asking the Lord to bless the sender adds an extra helping of holiday cheer to the season, and I look forward with joyful anticipation to the next time I drape the old holder's ribbon over the nail.
Beautiful tradition!
