snow completely gone today, now we have chronic mud. The donks came out and showed their appoval by queueing up for a good old roll in the muddiest patch of the field.
I shared their elation because the taps and hosepipe in the field are defrosted and look like staying that way for the next week at least - hoooraaay!!
After his roll Angus Donk (so named to distinguish him from Angus Adolescent who coincidentally shares the same name) went and stood by Cashew the pygmy goat soaking up a few rays and doing a bit of mutual snuggling. They stood there for about ten minutes with Angus nuzzling into Cashew while Cashew nibbled bits of something or other (could be anything) out of Angus' fur.
Not sure if I have posted this link before, but when the goats were smaller they used to jump on the donkeys' backs
How Sweet. Sociable animals. You must be so busy Jan with your 365 and animal muck out and feeding plus being a mother. Bet you love sitting down in the evening!
