This weeks challenge was to do something new so I decided to use a lens that I don't use very often at all. It is a 50mm f1.4 lens and I probably should use it more. Occasionally I take flower photos with it. I put it right down to f 1.4 to get the shallow depth of field, and it did a very good job of keeping the book sharper (I wanted the cat to appear as it was peeping out of the books) and the others blurry. ISO 125 was used with 1/40 shutter speed, but it would have been better with a bit higher ISO and a faster shutter speed.
