WHAT WAS IT?

I went for a walk to get a few shots while on the fishing trip and this caught my eye. It seems like an animal dragged this smaller animal part way up this tree to eat it and for safe keeping. My guess is a cougar dragged a small deer up there.
I lost all my good pictures and what I share now is a backup camera through a backup lens.

The thought of going for a walk where cougars or mountain lions might be hanging out would scare me to death! Don't know where you live but could be a bear too? Mother Nature is harsh.
