One of the cool things about a wide angle lens is you don't really need to use a hyperfocal distance to get everything in focus on landscapes, as long as nothing is very close to the camera. In this photo it appears that the closest area of sand is 10 or 12 feet away, so focusing on infinity and stopping down even a little bit will keep everything sharp. Beautiful curved watercourse.
