King of Beasts in B and W

I thought our camera club had an outing to the butterfly exhibit on Monday, but I had the dates wrong so a friend and I decided to go to the Wildlife Safari in Bandon. Big mistake! What an incredibly depressing spot with most of the animals having glazed over eyes except for those that were pacing frantically around their too small cages. Never again. I've been looking through my shots for some keepers and found a few to share.
Thanks so much for visiting, commenting, suggesting, faving. I've had a very busy week but should have time to visit your photos tonight.
Knowing where you were and how you've described it, the animals look so sad! But these are really stunning images.

You really did a lovely job with this image, but I do understand what you're saying and that part is definitely sad.

This is a wonderful shot, but you can see that he doesn't have a spark in his eye. I struggle to enjoy seeing caged animals after seeing them wild in Africa.

Wow, you have such wonderful texture and structure on his face - well taken and well processed, Jane.
