Leaf Veins and Heart

Having fun with our Photosynthesis Lab today and a heart- shaped hole punch. 😀 Students punch discs out of leaves and put them in cups of water under light in various conditions to measure the rate of photosynthesis by how fast the discs rise as they accumulate oxygen. One student group is always happy to discover they got the one heart-shaped hole puncher in our set!

Starred for the composition and idea ... and for the science. As an environmental educator, this is an awesome activity for young minds!
