I went for my walk at Wal-Mart's this morning but when I got out the clouds and low light just didn't give me any enthusiasm for photography. So I went out to capture the waning sun. Up in the hills the wind was blowing and I took this one pulled over but through my windshield. Trouble with afternoon forays is there are more cars on the roads.
I feel cold just looking at this, Joan. I often wish, from a photography point of view, that we had snow here more often as there are some amazing views in the forest when it does snow. It's been some years since we had any and it's rare that it lasts even 24 hours: about 13 years ago though we did have about 16" in the middle of April and that hung around for nearly a week! I remember it well because I slipped and fell while walking our previous dog and dislocated my shoulder... and Mrs S was in the UK visiting! For the time being I shall take vicarious pleasure from your snow.
I can relate. There is something peaceful about the snow with the wind blowing, in spite of the harshness of it. The wind smooths out the snow and the world takes on a frigid order.
@vignouse Just like I vicariously get to see parts of France. I think that is the fun of landscape photography. We get to show the many looks of our world. Had to do this one in bw because of some weird stuff from the tinting of the windshield. These photo rides really bring a peace to me even if I don't get a fab shot.
