I saw that @s4sayer has been experimenting with Dutch Tilt. So I wanted to give it a try. Met with @dianen down at Old orchard Beach. My Lightroom is now full of pier legs. Really weird. Now I have to work on my own challenge.
VMLthis Joan. As I understand it, the idea is to take with 'tilt' as you and I both did, not to 'process' into 'tilt'. Apart from the test shot I took on Monday, the 2 x horse and Abbey were sooc.
Whoa! I need to grab onto something with this one! Cool tilt! (And yes, the tilt is not supposed to be post-processed to truly be the Dutchman's Tilt as far as I know)
@joansmor Hi Joan! Looks like we are partners again for the Get Pushed challenge. You'll notice my calendar is pretty blank. I'm still here but have been in Florida without Internet! Back to the cold of the north today. I also just realized that many of your pictures were taken in familiar places to me as I traveled to Maine this summer! I think for your Get-Pushed challenge I would love to see you interpret "travel" in anyway you'd like! Hope this works for you! Have a great week. Looks like a bit of a warm up for us!
Brought to mind looking out the window of a plane making the turn to come in for a landing. (What that has to do with these neat piers, I'm not sure - but loved the tilt feeling). Nicely done.
@egoodine You need to Google it as I did to get a good explanation but basically it is tilting the picture in camera not processing to add drama. @s4sayer had been given this as a get-pushed challenge and I got fascinated through her pictures and just had to give it a try. Get-pushed is a good group and pushes you out of your comfort zone and into a new learning experience. @northy runs it and is always looking for new members.
This is a lovely photo Joan
Nice use if Dutch Tilt. . I wonder how that name came about!!!
