Does my title intrigue you. While last week I heard bird chirps when I went into my bathroom and they seemed awfully loud. When I went outside later I could see no nest and thought that maybe it was in the alcove (that's not the right world but you now where the edge of the roof turns back) on the second floor where I couldn't see. But I did keep hearing the sounds in my bathroom. Eventually on one of my trips out I spotted the dad on a wire and watched. Soon the female came and landed on my bathroom fan vent. And two little heads popped out. As luck would have it I had a camera in my hands. Trouble no long lens. So my first shot not so good. This one I shot last Sunday with my long lens and really hoped to get another but it's gone silent so I assume they have flown the cope. Now I need to replace my vent. Well not me personally.
This is awesome! They find the silliest places to nest! a very cute shot.
You should get that hole covered before they return - sometimes they will do two broods a summer.
Wonderful capture of the chirping baby birds. Lucky they have moved on. I used to have blackbirds who would build a nest in the roof above my toilet. They can't get in there anymore.
Super capture. It's wonderful that they are comfortable breeding on your property but their choice for their nest is not somewhere that you want them to be.
Shame about the vent Joan but.. your home was responsible for providing shelter in a time of need.. And, you were able to take this fab photo too.. everyone's a winner..
Lucky you... I'd suffer the damaged vent in the hope of encouraging more of them next year.. but the eves of my house are a tenement for sparrows! A fav for providing a home for them!
@joansmor Yes I do understand that! I also know that they find a hiding place, like beneath a cushion, and die from lack of food... and a few days later you're wondering about the smell! No sympathy for cats.. the nastiest garden bird killer of them all!

It's a shame about your vent.
