I had a very special surprise yesterday. Because I had been busy doing taxes for some family and friends I hadn't gotten caught up on my email. So yesterday I looked at them. One was from Anna Aspnes who is one of the teachers I use to learn more about digital scrapbooking. SHe is also a kit designer coming out with a new kit almost weekly. Well the email wasn't from her usual site but was from her Creative Team. I have been asked to be on the Creative Team and am over the moon. I accepted of course. It means a lot of work for me as I have to produce 6 pages a month, and every 4th month some writing for the blog, comment daily on peoples post in her galary, etc etc. So I may be more limited in my commenting. So if I am just hitting the fav know I am looking but busy and probably tired. I get paid with free kits after I have been on for a month and doing a good job. Boy my pocket book will like that. I will be still taking lots of photos as I will need them for all those scrap pages. I also have to finish the other Photo book I am working on. And then there is the new class I started with the other digital site I use. Loving the class and thinking I can use some of the new techniques with all these new pages I have to create. @vignouse has always said this is where I shined. But I thought he just hadn't seen the wonderful pages I have seen on Anna's pages. But maybe he was right. I have always appreciated his encouragement and all of yours. I was blown away by how many of you looked at my link to my people book. You are still the best site with wonderful encouraging people.
PS one of the remarks I get the most is how wonderful my pictures are.
@vignouse you were right though I didn't really believe enough in myself. Thank you for your encouragement. I will have to do a scrap page on my cups just for you. LOL
Oh well done you! That sounds both exhausting and exhilarating. You will have to share the link to the blog. It sounds very exciting and clearly well deserved.
@kiwinanna I am not sure I can because it is for people who take her classes but I will check when I get an entry. I promise. But here is a link to the gallery where I will be posting my pages. This should work outside the states because people from all over the world post here. https://ozone.oscraps.com/gallery/showgallery.php?cat=1351
Well there you go, I'm so thrilled for you... always pays to trust your mentor! I have one small concern though - it seems that you are going to have to an awful lot of work for a very small return.
Congratulations. That does sound like you will be very busy. Please share when you you can. I did scrapping for many years, but it really does take a lot of time. My pages were very simple compared to yours. You definitely do shine in that area with your special photographic talent and artistic eye.
Very cool shot first of all. Wow, you are a busy lady. I would be interested in finding out about what digital scrapbooking is. I think I'll click on that. Congratulations.
@vignouse When you think that I usually make 4 or 5 pages a month anyway well I just make them for her using her products. Meanwhile I get a net kit that would cost me $13 each week, I am sure she probably critics our pages and this would be a great joy. And I comment on pages all the time. The biggest add to me is the blog article. But I always wanted to be a writer so this would be a thrill to me. I probably spent 300 to 400 on Anna's classes and kits last year so reducing that cost is a thrill. And if I find it is too much work I can drop out. BUt really it is an honor to be asked. And this is typically what is done in the industry. I tried twice to get on the team on another site but didn't make it. So my head is spinning that she reached out to me.
@peterday I hope so. I have to give it a try. I told my boss that I knew where my real bread and butter was and wouldn't let this interfere with that. My job though is only 12 hour a week. I am the most worried about my participation in 365 suffering. Know if all I do is hit the fav I am still thinking of you all.
Joan that is such wonderful news and i'm so pleased you didn't pause for thought to accept their offer. this is a real endorsement of your skills at photography and scrapping. A great opportunity to grow as a writer photographer and artist. Go girl!!!
@joansmor applause applause!!!!! That is sooooo great and I can't think of a more deserving person. You are so talented when it comes to these digital pages!! And I am thinking of an idea about that lesson...but I will put that in an email after I've firmed up a few things over the next few months with my sisters.
