The sea is winning

Went to Camp Ellis yesterday. The Ocean is trying to swallow up this bit of land on the coast.

Yikes! I see from the news stories that many coastal towns out here were inundated like this! For a moment I thought how much fun it would be to have some pictures of my own...and then I cozied back up in front of the fireplace and thought you all can see it on the news, too!

It's always a lost battle with the elements. A few years ago our government tried to replenish the sand at Balluta with sand brought over from Libya. Within two years it was all gone, carried away by the sea.
