Traditional Navajo House by joysabin

Traditional Navajo House

Went on a dog run to eastern Arizona. I helped a pair of Pibbles on their journey to their forever home in Alabama.
I was surprized how much snow that there still have from the storm of Dec 27. There is a good 3 inches left. This is a traditional Navajo home, a Hogan. ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hogan )

Love the photo, peaceful and thank you for helping out some 4 legged friends

Your work to assist dogs is exemplary. Thank you on behalf of all the dogs that you help and may more people become involved in such a worthy cause.

Great composition. Super in b&w. I'm itching to get a Lensbaby but I don't know which one to start with.

Sounds like a long dog run though I'm not really familiar with US geography. Fascinating building, never seen anything like it.

Great b&w and so nice to see how people build and live in different parts of the world, very exotic.

@angelunderwater Being a small part in their journey is a blessing. I used to get my dog 'fix' until Riley became part of our family. I am finding more and more people who have been 'rescued' by their dogs these days. Very grateful and thankful for the fav.

@domenicododaro You are so kind, thank you. Each time I do a rescue run I meet a wonderful pup or two and also get an affirmation that there are really good people in this world.

@s4sayer With all the crazy things happening ever where, I need to do something that just helps. Being able to be a small part of their journey is wonderful. Thank you so kindly for the fav.

@henrir Thank you so much. These Hogans are similar to Yurts I think.

@tstb13 I love lensbaby shots, their softness is something that I love. My husband, not so much.

@samae Thank you so very much. I love driving the pups but don't really foster since I'm not set up for that. I do love being able to help out when I can.

@eudora Thank you so kindly. The pup rescue network is nationwide, if you want I can send you some info.

@overalvandaan Wow, I didn't know that. One of the great things about connecting with other Photographers, I learn some truly interesting things and best of all, I see their most wonderful images, like yours.

@jernst1779 Thank you so very much. I started with a sweet 35. Here is a link to lensbaby that might be a place to start. ( https://lensbaby.com/guide-composer-series-lenses/ ). Check KEH.com and Ebay for used ones too. They are a world of fun.

@golftragic My leg of the run is usually 163 miles each way. I get to see Northern Arizona and when time allows I explore some. The snow on this trip was rather wonderful.

@kmwilliams Thank you, lensbaby blurs are fun to play around with.

@ingajohansson Thank you so much. Many Navajo still live in these but so many more live in trailers on the reservation.
