NF SOOC No 8 by joysabin

NF SOOC No 8

No need to comment this was an experiment with ND filters. The wind is blowing around the clouds today so off I went to try and get some ND blur.
The kids plopped themselves smack dab in the middle but I decided that I liked them there. I should have walked closer which would have cropped out the solar panels and log but didn't.
This is a 20 second exposure and I know I have a long way to go with neutral density filters but gotta start somewhere.

I also would have loved to silver efex and spot fix this puppy but as Margo @s4sayer says, NF-SOOC takes no prisoners.
Good start; nice comp; I like the kids in the shot. Thanks for the article reference on b& w. your learning curve inspires me...I've got an nd filter that could use some airing out!

It's a nice POV. the little bokeh on the top right hand side, the blur in the trees, very dramatic.

Very intriguing! I like the movement in the trees, contrasted with the sharpness of mountains.

Thanks to the ND filter this has a very interesting feel to it. It definitely deserves some more experimenting with.

@granagringa Thank you, ND filters have befuddled me for a while. I've been collecting info on how to use them and finally found the courage to try.

@sugarmuser You are so nice, thank you. I thought that the image was flat in tone but its only a beginning.

@eudora I am trying to figure out where some flowing water to give me more of a glassy look challenge would be. I'm not giving up.

@olivetreeann I am enjoying trying more with these. I will have to remember to bring lens cloths next time, so many spots.

@amyk I am very glad that they just put up with the crazy photographer, I didn't ask their permission.
