Diego’s first train ride via the subway into Boston was a smashing success, as can be seen in this funny shot from the day. He had a blast watching everything go fast by the huge windows and loved holding the hand ties when I lifted him up. It was a lovely day out for the whole family, but this picture was the one that I feel captured best the fun and silliness my son brings to every occasion. Recently, he’s been having a good giggle with finding my belly button and - gah - sticking his finger into it and squealing. While I am not a fan of being reminded of my ever-increasing middle-age girth, I certainly don’t mind when he takes a moment and shows the world his own adorable baby belly. You know, right on a train, where it’s most appropriate to do so.
