It’s not often I take shots in our front or side yard. The house is pretty close to our quiet street, so there’s not a heck of a lot of land for Diego to roam on, as opposed to the back of the house which touches athletic fields that seem to stretch on forever. And our side yard, while it runs the length of our rather long house, isn’t terribly wide, although it would be a great area to put up a volleyball net someday. Anyhow, the baby does wander up from time to time, and this lovely moment with him among the tall grass was captured right as the side yard becomes the front yard. Yeah, the grounds crew doesn’t come by that often, but boy it can make for a lovely, rural, old New England vibe on a cloudy, late Summer day. Out of this 365, this is among my very favorite photos so far.
