This adorable winter coat has seen two years now, and come December it’ll be retired for a bulkier, water-proof model that’ll match his boots. But this one still fits and it’s one of my favorite items in Diego’s wardrobe. The hat he has in this photo, however, is brand new, and while I find it impossibly cute, it’s still a hat and that means Diego isn’t much of a fan. This boy has never liked hats, not since day one of life. At least this one has velcro that latches under the chin so it’ll stay on for a bit. Otherwise, this gesture you see here would result in that hat lying among the wet leaves and grass. I hope he gets used to wearing it soon. The air is growing pretty damn cold and snow seems imminent. It’s time to bundle up if you’re doing what Diego loves most in this world: going outside.
