Sometimes the subject is all you need for a beautiful shot. Sometimes the lighting is just right. Sometimes the focus is so sharp, the background is so blurred, that the photo pops. And the. Other times, it’s a combination of all of these things that make the picture work. Here it’s all about the subject; a high energy baby whose been playing for hours and who is ready for what’s next. The lighting? It’s blown out, but it tells you it’s late morning. The focus? Meh. It’s with an iPhone so it’s a little dodgy. Heck, even the framing is off. But that subject? Yeah. He’s beautiful. And you know what? He’s my light. He’s my focus.
