I wish so much my framing was better on this moment. The subconscious way Diego is petting Oso, while the dog gnaws on a bone, is really beautiful and deserved a better composition, but I was scrambling for my camera to even get the moment at all, so I’m okay with the subpar result. It’s such a window into my son’s sweet personality, his affection for our family dog, and just how automatic his gentleness can be. That stuff isn’t taught. It’s inherent.
