Just filling a gap. I needed to drop a card off at a friend's in Histon and decided I would walk Monty along the guided busway towards Oakington. It was unexpectedly industrial and I was telling Nigel about it today when he said, 'Oh it will be the jam factory'. Obviously I argued that it didn't look much like a jam factory but I have just Googled and rather annoyingly he was right - Chivers jam and jellies. Anyway I managed, with the help of a man with a brute of a dog, to turn the walk into a rather pleasing circular route going past this house that Nigel always admired when we lived in Histon. I used to think it looked rather spooky but it has been done up a lot and, yet again, I find myself having to agree with him.
Fantastic. I have always loved the old architecture and buildings of the UK. They just are NOT like any we see on this side of the pond. This has such great lines, textures, and a very interesting old door. Great shot......
I love the architecture too! What a wonderful building, capture and story! Delightful! Don't you just hate it when they are right! Made me laugh reading your story. Wonderful!
Great capture of this old building. I still think it looks a bit spooky. Sounds like you had an interesting walk, great when you bump into interesting people.
