Most of our college friends went home on Sunday morning but Andy and Kenny stayed for lunch and we dragged Adam out with us so I didn't have to cook at all over the weekend. Adam was quite entertained and sighed a lot over the fact that Kenny's little brother is an amazingly creative film-maker and advertiser (think iPad adverts). He also lives in NY when he isn't travelling the world looking for 'the' shot so essentially has Adam's dream life. I had another version of this with Adam sitting behind a Mr Perfect mug but he would need to pay a lot more attention to his bedroom floor to justify that title. Very nice lunch in The Architect - a newly re-modelled pub on Castle Hill - fabulous veg though I was underwhelmed with the lamb and nice mugs!
Good to have these friends that inspire our youngsters to a life they wish......easy to get waylaid with other ideas so good to have a definite plan! All these acquaintances might be handy for work experience later too! That is a good mug to have in the mornings!
This is the cup my husband needs to start the day. He's never at his best of a morning. Thank God for computers. Now he can set himself up with a pot of tea, read the news and re-immerge a new person once he is fully awake and the pot is drained.
