It's fair to say that we don't really do Valentine's in our house but as it's our anniversary year I thought I'd push the boat out with a romantic cushion. Unfortunately I failed to communicate this upturn in generosity to Nigel who forgot about it entirely and has been trying to convince me ever since that taking the old utility room to the tip was a suitable Valentine's gift. I knew what I was getting in to when I married him - our first argument revolved around his failure to provide me with a Valentine's card - he insisted that they were for people wanting to profess their interest in somebody they weren't actually 'courting' not for people already going out with each other. Whatever gave him that idea?
Must say, I am with Nigel valentine's-wise, but still do the obligatory card thing. However, receiving three bars of soap from my lovely husband for Christmas, well..........
Can pretty much have what i want if I want to organise it, but that's not the point is it?
wonderful DOF ... still waiting for my flowers although I did get a card... I see lovely flowers in my future from ME !!!! lol wish I could find hearts like these with the raised letters...
I love this - and there's no Valentine's Day in this house either. I bought myself some tulips yesterday ;) (but it needs to be mentioned that my boyfriend is really good at giving me flowers at lots of days during the rest of the year; he always says it doesn't need a certain day if you mean it).
