With Adam back at school and Nigel off on a business trip I decided it was time to rally from the lurgy and get some jobs done. I restocked the fridge with a big supermarket shop, scrubbed the house which has been depressingly filthy and prepared the tiles for grouting. I also did about 5 loads of washing and it may take me the rest of my natural life (hoping for another 30 years or so) to iron. The brightest interlude of the day was a walk with Rebecca and Gloria - we did an odd route at my request so I could search out some Chinese lanterns I'd seen before. We couldn't find them but I overshot the house on the way home because my (distant) neighbour has a few just hanging on. All was well as long as the Neurofen was kept topped up and Adam and I rounded off the day with the finale of Broadchurch - enjoyed it.
Thank you so much for commenting while I've been AWOL - I do hope to resume normal service shortly.
