I spent a good bit of time on the phone trying to buy a car in the morning and eventually managed to arrange to get one delivered to a showroom to look at during the week. George in Huntingdon was at least trying hard. In the meantime I called the other garage and I asked them for their trade in price which we were promised on Friday. I was told the salesman we had eventually been passed on to was 'with other customers' and we couldn't talk to the people who do the pricing as they were 'very busy with other appraisals'. I told him that we were thoroughly unimpressed with how unimportant our business was to the company and he said, 'I'll get the general manager'. He did at least call back with a fair price but too late - we're off to see George.
Anyway - we dropped Adam off for the last 'normal' hockey game of his school career (cup game(s) left) and nipped up to the Gogs Farm shop for a sausage roll and a coffee before nipping back to watch. The end of an era - and a rust shot as homage to my friend Louise who has a thing about them.
Rust colour is understated!
Who is the customer in this car deal! John would have asked for the General Manager right at the beginning! You have control!
