We spent the morning collecting the new car and learning how it parks itself - a feature I am extremely likely never to use... It's very nice though and went over potholes beautifully when I took Monty to the river. He kept climbing over the back seats until I put the flip down lid thing back on the boot and he had to travel in the dark. He seemed to be very unimpressed but spent the entire walk trying to go back to the car. Anyway - we've put the old bars back in because he's definitely not going on the seats. I did take a few photos but this is one from yesterday - I'm afraid I've decided to be 'flexible' with posting photos taken on the day - I just can't sustain it any more! I was taking the nice pink bike yesterday when a more interesting subject came my way. Tagging for the theme as she came between me and my standard bike shot!
@pusspup experience would suggest 'slowly' but I'm a big admirer of our older cyclists - they've always done it and they do long distances even if it takes a while.
Good decision re the 'flexibility' Judith, you have earned your 365 stripes and more so :)
This is so Cambridge. Is that a Cath Kidston bag in her shopping basket?
The lady looks so elegant
Love this candid shot. What a marvelous photo bomber...she seems quite resolute to make it up the hill, bless her. I am amazed to see someone a.) of her years biking, while b.) wearing nylons and pumps. You go girl!
@peggysirk You see a lot of ladies of her age cycling - usually on ancient bicycles as well. They tend to be of the slow but steady wins the race variety and you really do have to take a run at this hill (not easy as there are traffic lights and a busy junction right at the bottom).
Love that headscarf...in the Queens age group so a hardy soul......great exercise for her age. Between theme is ideal for this interesting shot.....unusual theme subject...how would you ever think of that?
Self parking sounds good....I bet you in six months younare using it all the time!
