I had a long list of post holiday jobs to do and have managed to crack most of them. The cat that lives next door's insurance claim is still sitting on my desk instead of the vet's and I haven't managed to make live contact with the kennel but I've made inroads elsewhere. I fancied a trip to the market with Monty to buy flowers. The daffodils have been fantastic but I splashed out on some yellow ranunculus and blue eryngium and they look gorgeous.
Big excitement of the evening - a jay in the garden though too mixed up in branches for a good photo.
I knew this was yours as soon as I scrolled down......the first thing I did was check out which book he was reading. Lovely to see the punts out again...summer is here! Lovely blue blankets too. Your day sounds good! I have daffodils on my kitchen table but I am ready for some more adventurous varieties now.
@happypat@judithg@newbank It could well be Sharps Tiger by Bernard Cornwall. One of a whole series of books about a solder set in 1790 or thereabout I think. My hubby had each one as published. There was also a Tv series some years ago. Great pov and composition on your shot, like the close up catching him reading.
A hard life for some lol. a lovely shot Judith, I heard the cuckoo for the first time this year when I went out to take some pic's of the garden it is looking pretty with all the spring flowers and blossom
