I took Rachel and Adam to the Harry Potter Studio Tour. We haven't done a day out at an 'attraction' in years - it's really hard to find something they both want to go to for a start and then they both have to be home and available - so I felt quite nostalgic. Poor Nigel was at the airport waiting for a business trip... We waited until the kids are back at school but it was still quite busy. I can highly recommend it - you don't need to be an HP fan - the set construction, artwork, graphics, make up, costume etc etc were all amazing. I expected that they would be a bit 'make do' in places but the detail was incredible - I suppose it's the price you pay for high quality film. This model was right at the end and was breathtaking. I think it's about 1/8 real size so pretty big - they used it for all the broomstick scenes etc - they send little cameras flying through the gaps and then add in the green screen action shots. There are lights in the windows and can even give the impression of people walking past the windows inside. I might go again when it's set up for winter asI'm sure there was loads that we missed & I'll let Nigel come!
@jennywren Near St Albans. The website is good apart from the ticket prices - they weren't clearly
Aid out and I got us s deal with digital guide which wasn't necessary and a bit awkward to carry although Adam said he watched quite a bit of the extra features. Anyway - I'd just get a straight ticket - also food not great but everything else AMAZING!!
So jealous ;). Looks and sounds amazing, will add it to the to do list when we finally make it back to beautiful England :)). Fav for me as a passionate HP fan :)!!

But seriously, the HP studio tour is fantastic, well worth a visit. Nice shot, Judith.
