Luckily the mist persisted long enough for those of us who had a slow start this morning. When Rachel, Monty and I reached the bridge on Garret Hostel Lane the sun was just breaking through so we were just in time. I've made another apple cake for Rachel to take back with her - I think it's the 4th or 5th and I've given nearly all of them away which is just as well from the diet point of view but it's quite a wrench! I've also been supplying the neighbourhood with Bramley apples from our tree for several weeks now - much more satisfying than chucking them all on the compost and people have been appreciative. I think this may be the last week for all of us though as finally the numbers are dwindling.
My favourite bridge there in the mist! A lovely scene & some intrepid punters ought there! Bet they are all tourists! I wanted to take a misty shot today but the mist cleared everywhere but near us so no different shots today.
@happypat It's really easy Pat once you've sliced the apples. - I put extra in the middle as it tends to disappear! I had made a carrot cake for Rachel coming home and thought hat would do as I was also freezing lots of apple slices but before I knew what was going on R had promised her flatmates an apple cake!
That is such a beautiful photo.......apples have been lovely up here too!! And we've been fortunate to have escaped the mist and fog. But it certainly adds its own charm to photos!
That must be quite the apple tree you have....somehow I imagined your surroundings as a lot more urban, and did not visualize you with an apple tree in your backyard!! This is a beautiful misty capture down that river....everything about it is perfect....the stone building on the left, the boats gliding down towards the bridge....FAV!
It might be a pea souper tomorrow (Monday)
Looking forward to coming back for Carol's at King's in December.
Maybe you could make another apple cake! :)
