I'm slowly getting things back together after the Christmas chaos. Work is almost under control but we ripped out our bedroom at New Year and moved into the one vacated by Rachel when she moved to Canada. Our room has three outside walls and now the wardrobes are gone it's really cold and, to be honest, not at all inviting. We are getting the walls insulated, a radiator moved and some electrical work done before the new wardrobes are fitted in February so we are going to be in a tip upstairs for quite a while. More charity shop runs and a trip to the tip required and hopefully we will be able to give away some things on the street - there are advantages to living on a thoroughfare....
Mr Robin acknowledged me on our dog walk this afternoon - I don't think Monty assists with wildlife photography.
I sold an old sideboard yesterday and was collected this morning through gumtree. We have decorators arriving tomorrow to do our hallway and the playroom/dining room. So our bedroom is piled high with board games, books and craft supplies!
How lovely to see you posting again Judith! I've missed you and Monty and the bicycles! Rachels gone to Canada? wow is that permanent or for study? We had a new bedroom fitted this time last year so I know what you're going through. Its fab when its done tho. Cute robin shot.
Such an adorable little robin! I love this sweet shot!
Good timing with the bedroom project and the availability of Rachel's room. Good luck in getting everything just so!
@newbank That's the thing - our bedroom is always the dumping ground while other things get done. I'm aiming for boutique hotel - very briefly I expect!!!
@judithg I dream of one too!! The kiddies rooms look homely and inviting..... ours is even without rooms being stored in there a store room with a bed!! I did buy some new bedsheets though.... enjoy when its done.
As I said to @sarah19 the busiest time fir the rubbish recycling at this time of the year! Wall insulation sounds a great idea, could do with a bit of that here! We did pass our eyes over a newer house in the village as we drove past today....another two years perhaps in this house......all minimalistic & open plan living but with a traditional country look!
Good timing with the bedroom project and the availability of Rachel's room. Good luck in getting everything just so!
