After about 10 minutes, wings are fully extended, drying out and becoming stronger. Fait accompli! I've only seen this twice in my entire life. It's an amazing thing to witness!

I tried to capture one sitting on his shell the other morning after my pup spotted it. But as I was fiddling with camera settings, my pooch poked it with his nose and knocked him off the shell. :P
