My Camera Buddy and I had a couple of day's visiting the Gannet Colony of Muriwai.. It was amazing.. We had been warned about how bad the smell was, but we were in luck as the weather conditions were just right.. Wasn't too hot, the wind blowing to allow the birds to have the right up draughts to keep them hovering and they just don't mind having their photo's taken.. I love this image as they get so enthusiastic when there partner returns to the nest, it really is 'love'.. and if you view large you will see an egg between them.. I just hope they have not left their run too late as most of the chicks are well advanced and getting ready to leave home...
