Have just returned from the city .. where I attended the huge 'Dawn Parade' service held at the Auckland Museum.. I was a great place to be with a moving atmosphere, but I have got a lot of photo's of the backs of peoples heads.. I took this image last night when it was all getting set up ready for this morning.. These crosses represent all those brave men lost in the 1st World War.. very moving and especially to see them at sunset.. You can see our World Famous Sky Tower just poking up from the tree's..
What a lovely tribute to the ANZACS, I've really enjoyed your series. The sunset is a beautiful and there are so many crosses! Are they just the soldiers from Auckland? The service must have been amazing to attend.
Another wonderful tribute. I am on catch up today after being without power, so may not get chance to comment on all the photos I have missed, but I am looking at them all.
