@dide and I had a fantastic day today when we took a drive over the Coromandel to the see side town of Matarangi and visited Lesley @kiwichick who is over in New Zealand at the moment visiting with her Mother. She made us feel very welcome and took us around some of the sights of the beautiful coastline of Matarangi and nearby beaches.. We got 2/3rds around the Bluff track when we came to a road block and a slip had blocked to road for both cars and walkers.. we had thought we could sneak through but when we saw on the sign .. 'Explosive's' we thought we had best turn back and go back the way we had come.. so certainly done way more than our 10,000 steps today.. Thanks once again Lesley fantastic meeting you and your Mum.. Safe travels back home to that lovely family..
Fantastic image - can see one tree there with its red flowers. We'll have to go back when the cliffs are covered with flowering pohutukawa. Thanks @kiwichick for a great day.
Beautiful. I fell in love with the Coromandel Peninsula when in NZ five years ago. We will be back in 2017 and Im trying to work out where to take my hubby as he has never been to NZ but I must do part of the Coromandel
