Went out to the Coast early this morning hoping to catch so misty fog with the horses on the beach, but although there was 'Pea Soup' fog all the way out there the beach was basking in sunshine.. but with very dumpy waves and tide been very high.. and not a lot of room for the horses to do their sprints along the beach .. This fellow just have a quiet stroll at this point..
I am struggling to come up with a photo for Camera Club on Monday.. subject.. Our local area.. Not sure about the log in the foreground..
Oh I love this. I think the log adds to the interest. It's a great shot! How wonderful to be able to capture shots like this close to home. I'd have to go a long way to get a shot like that!
I really like the horse & rider. Were you able to get a photo of them without the log? I initially thought the log was a horse lying down. You have two really strong subjects, so for me I like the emphasis to be on one or the other:)
Love the morning light. I have mixed feelings about the log though. I initially thought it was interesting, but it does detract from the rider and horse slightly. I love the spray on the waves.
Great seascape capture, I'm not sure about the log either. First glance I liked it, but the more I looked at the shot the more it pulled my eye away from the rider..
Well, I'll get into the debate! I love the whole composition ... the horse and rider, the log, and the pounding surf.
I think the log adds appeal to the shot - the angularity leads the eye to the rider.
It's a FAV for me.
Well you've certainly got a divided crowd! From the thumbnail I also thought it was a horse lying down. I love the scene and the rider and the surf but the log doesn't do much for me sorry.
@kiwichick No I didn't think so either.. but I really liked the spray of the surf.. opted for my other shot for Camera club in my other album of the riders coming on to the beach..
