As I was walking through this shallow stream that runs into the coast I was taken with the colours both on the shell and the rich black/blue of our West Coast Iron sands... bringing out all the colours in the early morning light..

( inland not the coast sands) In the summer time it is very hot and you often see people walking casually down to the waters edge and then sprinting to quickly cool their feet down .,. It is a very fine sand and just gets everywhere ... but looks like black velvet in this shot.. thank you for all your comments..
