Circling Hawk.... by julzmaioro

Circling Hawk....

This is where I was heading on Monday morning when I got distracted by the lovely light in the Kaikatea's... This is Hoods landing and is situated just a short distance away from the Waikato River Mouth and was a busy wharf before the road was formed.. The Hawk was circling just teasing me as never seem to be able to catch one closer enough to get a decent shot.. The silhouette tree is our native cabbage tree ( or Cordyline)
A beautiful scene ,love the dominance of the tree with the soft landscape in the distance , and of course the lone hawk !

They don't call them hawkeye for nothing. He must have spotted your camera and played games with you. You still got a good shot though.

Well spotted Julz, he looks well at home there, a beautiful light & the tree there is showing its branches off against that blue sky.
