Today I thought I would pay tribute to 'Woman' as it is International Womans Day.. New Zealand is renownd as being the first Country to give woman the vote .. we have just had our 3rd Woman elected as Prime Minister, Jean Battern was NZ first Woman Aviater.. and so the list goes on...
And these 3 woman are my insperation.. Firstly my Mum.. She was a very hard working quiet and unasuming lady and served her Country as a WAAC during the War.. And my two girls.. Kylie (the bride in this photo) was a very strong, indipendent woman, sadly 6 months after this photo was taken she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer of which she fought hard but was beaten less than 12 months later ( at the age of 32)..
And Donna who leads an extreamly busy life with running their business, going to University doing a degree, and being Mum to two very busy teenagers, and still being available for family ... I feel very honoured to have had these ladies in my life..
What a lovely tribute to those special women in your life - one whom I was proud to call my auntie and the other two very lovely cousins. The younger two have a great mother as a role model! Fav
A very special photo Julz, you are rightly proud of your lovely family, your mum was a great example & you are all so brave & for what you have been through & both making such a great example for the next generation of women in your family.
