Last night we had another thunder storm and had nearly two inches of rain .. being Farmers we get excited about good rain over the summer months so this morning when the sun was nice and sunny the rain drips were glistening in the sunshine.. This is a Feijoa flower and we look forward to lots of fruit in the Autumn... https://www.waimeanurseries.co.nz/our-products/fruit-trees/feijoas/
For those of you who do not know the fruit here is a link sorry you can't taste as well ... they are beautiful..
The flowers are so pretty, but I have to confess, I really don’t like feijoas. When we first emigrated here, we had one in the garden, and I kept mowing over the fallen fruit. Then one day I realised people on the walkway on the other side of the fence, were gathering them up. I had to take one into work to identify what it was. I keep trying them, but really not keen
@yorkshirekiwi They improve as they ripen.. and it is a fine line between beautiful and rotten ... try them stewed ... it may convert you ... real good made into crumble with apple...
Great image Julz - yes it was lovely rain.
